Indices: Stock market update: Nifty Auto index advances 0.43% in a weak market
Tube Investments of India Ltd.(up 2.61 per cent), Eicher Motors Ltd.(up 1.56 per cent), Samvardhana Motherson International Ltd.(up 0.88 per cent), Tata Motors Ltd.(up 0.81 per cent) and Bharat Forge Ltd.(up 0.79 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Bosch Ltd.(down 0.62 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(down 0.25 per cent) and Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(down 0.24 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Auto index was up 0.43 per cent at 23906.7 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 89.95 points at 24972.15, while the BSE Sensex was down 328.34 points at 82202.4.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 16 were trading in the green, while 34 were in the red. Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Bharti Airtel, JSW Infrastructure and IRFC were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Wanbury Ltd, Mazagon Dock Ship, Paras Defence, ARSS Infra and Gujarat Themis hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Wendt India, Career Point, Chembond Chem and Godha Cabcon & Insul hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
