active stocks: Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of traded value
NEW DELHI: HAL(Rs. 3982.81 crore), GRSE(Rs. 3785.92 crore), Cochin Shipyard(Rs. 3711.63 crore), Mazagon Dock Ship(Rs. 3624.24 crore), BSE(Rs. 2308.05 crore), Tata Motors(Rs. 2194.45 crore), Bharat Dynamics(Rs. 1630.22 crore), REC(Rs. 1514.06 crore), BEL(Rs. 1493.53 crore) and HDFC Bank(Rs. 1478.70 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Wednesday’s session.
The NSE Nifty index ended the session 88.56 points up at 24666.9, while BSE Sensex rose 182.34 points to 81330.56.
In the Nifty index, Tata Steel Ltd.(up 3.94 per cent), Shriram Finance Ltd.(up 2.90 per cent), Bharat Electronics Ltd.(up 2.57 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 2.49 per cent) and Eternal Ltd.(up 2.25 per cent) stood among the top gainers.
On the other hand, Asian Paints Ltd.(down 1.82 per cent), Cipla Ltd.(down 1.67 per cent), Tata Motors Ltd.(down 1.24 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(down 1.10 per cent) and NTPC Ltd.(down 0.87 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
